Join us on Tuesday, June 22nd at 4:00 PM ET for a 60-minute exclusive, virtual fly fishing session lead by veteran fly fishing guide, Ollie Smith – recently named by North Carolina Wildlife magazine as one of North Carolina’s top five legendary fishing guides.
Glen Deskin, Head of Engineering and Cyber Security Evangelist, and resident Check Point fly fishing enthusiast will kick off the event with some quick, valuable insights on protecting your enterprise against phishing attempts.
During this virtual session, Ollie will walk attendees through an interactive class on the fundaments of Fly Fishing 101 with video demonstrations on:
- How to rig a fly rod
- How to select flies depending on various conditions (type/depth of water, weather, season of year)
- How to cast – overhead cast, sidearm cast, and roll cast
- How to mend the line while fishing
- How to land the fish once he has taken the bug
- How to properly net a fish
- And, most importantly, how to properly hold your fish for the perfect photo without harming the fishing – how else will your loved ones know what you’ve accomplished?
